Two Large Districts Move to Aesop
Milwaukee Public Schools Automates With Aesop
EXTON, Pa. - September 1, 2011 - Milwaukee Public Schools, the largest district in Wisconsin and one of the 50 largest districts in the US, has chosen Aesop to automate their substitute placement and absence management.
With 13,000 employees across 183 schools, Milwaukee Public Schools needed to find a better way to track absences and place qualified substitutes in classrooms. Aesop will use combined internet and phone technologies to record employee absences and make those jobs available to substitutes based on Milwaukee's needs and preferences. Aesop is Software-as-a-Service, so Milwaukee will not have to install or maintain any hardware, software, or phone lines.
Additionally, Aesop's integration with Milwaukee's PeopleSoft application will save hours of data entry and reduce mistakes in payroll.
Portland Public Schools Switches to Aesop
EXTON, Pa. - July 1, 2011 - Frontline Technologies is pleased to announce that Portland Public Schools, the largest school district in Oregon, has switched to Aesop for automated substitute placement and absence management.
Portland Public Schools previously used the SEMSTM and SmartFindExpress® sub-calling systems from eSchool Solutions®. The upgrade from SEMS to SmartFindExpress resulted in technical issues for Portland, leading the district to search for a more efficient solution.
The Executive Director of Human Resources at Portland Public Schools came from a district using Aesop, and received training at Frontline corporate headquarters. The Substitute Coordinator at Portland also attended several Aesop User meetings and classes in the area.
Portland will benefit from automated substitute placement and absence management through a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, with no hardware, software, or phone lines to install or maintain at the district.
A number of other districts in Oregon have switched from SEMS or SmartFindExpress, including North Clackamas School District, Willamette ESD, Lebanon Community School District, Corvallis School District, and greater Albany Public School District.
